I last created this survey about two years ago over at the Take2 forum, and I thought it was high time for a new one!
Here's how it's going to work:
- I'd like everybody to post to this topic, giving their suggestions for what they think the best PC game of all time is. Just say "I vote for <x>"
- I'll check this topic over the course of the next month or so, and compile a database of all the votes
- Once the time limit is up, I'll extract a "Top 10" list from all the votes, and then create a new topic with a poll that includes those 10
- Everyone can then vote for their favourite PC game of all time!
A few rules:
- Please make it very clear when you post that you are voting for a game to be included in the list, to differentiate between discussions on how cool x and y games are. Something as simple as "I vote for <x>" or "My vote is <x>" or something - just so I know
- Vote for as many games as you like, but only one vote per game per person will be recorded. (i.e. Vote for Game1 and Game2 and I'll record 1 vote each for Game1 & Game2. Subsequent votes for Game1 by you will be ignored)
- Try and be as specific as possible, with a link to information about the game you're voting for (If possible - of course I understand how it might not be possible for some of the older titles)
- At the end of it, I might do a draw and give something special to someone who originally voted for the game that went on to become the favourite. I'm not sure - maybe get someone to draw a little trophy that the winner can put in his signature on the forums?
So I'll start it off. My favourite PC game of all time as to be SimCity 4. It's the one game I always keep going back to, and the SimCity series spawned my other favourite, The Sims! So I vote for SimCity 4.
